Police arrest man on city bus for allegedly threatening passengers

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Juneau Police boarded a Capital City Transit bus Monday afternoon to arrest a man.

Department official Erann Kalawara said the call came in just before three via a radio report from the bus driver.

He reported there was a man on the bus threatening people.  It was reported that he possibly had a knife.  Officers boarded the bus when it stopped on Willoughby Avenue.  Placed under arrest for disorderly conduct was 44-year-old Jason Martin Wilson.

Kalwara wasn't sure if arresting officers found a knife on the suspect.  If he had a knife, Kalwara said he wasn't displaying it and was not threatening people with a knife.

The suspect was jailed at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
