
Petersburg, Alaska (KINY) - A Petersburg man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to crabbing violations.
On March 16, Kory Versteeg, age 36, of Petersburg appeared in District Court. He pled guilty to multiple commercial violations.
In a combined plea agreement Versteeg was sentenced to $13,000 in fines with $10,000 suspended and placed on probation for one year.
Versteeg forfeited all the gear seized in each case.
The charges originated from the 2018 Commercial Golden King Crab Season, and the 2019 Summer Dungeness Crab season.
