Permanent Fund reaches $80 Billion

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The daily value of the Alaska Permanent Fund has reached $80.1 billion.

    According to a release from Governor Dunleavy's office, the number is an all-time record high for the fund.

    The valuation is based on the close of the market Thursday.

    The value includes the principal and the earning reserve account.

    In fiscal year 2011, the fund was valued at $40.1 billion, meaning it has doubled in 10 years.
