Parade winners announced

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Awards were handed out to several floats in the Independence Day Parade.

    The Scouting Alaska float with Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts won the Best Youth Float.

    The Civil Air Patrol won the Best Honor Guard.

    Alaska Airlines won the Best of Parade.

    Other winners included the US Coast Guard Float.

    The Most Alaskan Award and the Most Patriotic Award went to the Mine Rescue Team.

    The Best Commercial Award went to Juneau Pediatric Dentistry.

    The Best Big Rigs Award went to Gold Rush Days/Coeur Kensington and Hecla Greens Creek MInes.

    The Best Watercraft Award went to Willies Marine.

    The Best Customized Vehicle Award went to the Juneau-Douglas Shrine Club.

    The Best Marching Award went to Southeast Alaska Native Veterans.

    The Best Historical Vehicle Award went to the American Red Cross of Alaska.

    The Best Musical Group Award was earned by Ati-Atihan.

    The Best Animals Award went to the Yankee Doodles and Casey Shattuck Canines.
