Ketchikan, Alaska (KINY) - The new case was a close contact of a previous positive case, health officials said Wednesday.
The individual had sought testing at a local clinic after they had experienced symptoms.
The person was directed to isolate and is being monitored by healthcare providers.
A close contact investigation was conducted and those considered close contacts should receive a phone call from either Public Health or from the individual who tested positive.

There are no patients hospitalized in Ketchikan with COVID-19. There are currently 19 active cases.
