Officer retires from Juneau Police

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Jeff Brink had served JPD for over 20 years.

    Brink started with Juneau Police in August 1998.  He worked for JPD for nine years and then returned to work for his previous employer, the State of Alaska.

    Brink returned to JPD as a patrol officer in 2012.

    Brink was assigned as a patrol officer, detective, and worked in the drug unit during his career.  He also worked for over four years as a part-time police reserve officer in the downtown business district.

    Brink also served on the SWAT team, the Honor Guard, and as a field training officer.

    Brink also was a firearms instructor and served as Union President.

    During his career Brink also received two lifesaving medals from JPD.
