Nothing criminal in Nome fire

    Nome, Alaska (KINY) Alaska State Troopers said foul play is not suspected in last months blaze that destroyed the Polaris Hotel in Nome.

    One person died in the large early morning fire.  Bette Haugen, 63, was well known in Nome.  The cause of the fire was still under investigation.  Volunteers and firemen were able to get several people out of the burning building unharmed.

    The hotel was a prime spot for housing during the annual Iditarod Sled Dog Race.
