New Parks and Recreation cabin opens

    Amalga Cabin is located out the road

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Juneau Parks and Recreation will be opening reservations for its newest cabin on Jan. 11 at noon.

    The Amalga Cabin is located out the road, near the Eagle Valley Center and connected to the Boy Scout Beach trail.

    The first date available for reserving is Friday, Jan. 15 and reservations can be made up to three months in advance. The fee is $75 per day.

    Parks and Recreation has a new online reservation system. The organization recommends those who are interested in reserving the cabin make an account before Jan. 11.
