New JPD Patrol Cars Have An Updated Look

The Juneau Police Department will soon start using three new patrol cars that have an updated look, with a silver body and new graphics.

We asked Deputy Chief David Campbell if the new look comes with a higher price tag.  Campbell says the cost is comparable between the white vs. silver and the different graphics.  Campbell says the new cars are part of the standard fleet plan of putting three new patrol cars into service every year.  Patrol cars are retired after about three years and 80,000 miles.
