New guidelines for masking for vaccinated, updates expected soon for CBJ measures

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced Thursday that people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 do not need to wear masks in most situations. The current City and Borough of Juneau COVID-19 mitigation measures call for mask-wearing when there is a mix of vaccinated and non-vaccinated people.

Deputy city manager, Mila Cosgrove, told News of the North that the city is currently working on updates to the measures. She said that they could be ready as early as Friday.
