New cruise cancellations, events rescheduled in Ketchikan

    Ketchikan, Alaska (KINY) - The Ketchikan Visitors Bureau has announced further cancellations and rescheduled events for the tourism season.

    Cunard has announced that their 2020 Alaska cruise itineraries have been canceled. Queen Elizabeth, which visited Ketchikan last year for its inaugural season, was scheduled to make eight port calls this year.

    Norwegian Cruise Line vessels the Bliss, Jewel and Joy, Oceania Cruises Regatta, and Regent’s Seven Seas Mariner port calls have been postponed until July 1. Norwegian previously announced that the Norwegian Sun’s Alaska season was cancelled.

    Cruise Line Agencies of Alaska’s cruise ship schedule has been updated to reflect these latest announcements and is available on their website.

    Race to Alaska, organized by the Northwest Maritime Center in Port Townsend, Washington, also made it official this week as they announced that Ketchikan’s biggest non-motorized race event will make its re-appearance next year.
