Nelson captured without incident

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) Micah Nelson, had been wanted for 11 days since a shooting in Lemon Creek.

Juneau Police said a tip from the public led them to a home in the 10000-block of Glacier Highway Sunday night.

Lt. Krag Campbell said police surrounded the home, got in contact with the residents inside, and were able to arrest Nelson without further incident.

Nelson had eluded capture last week near DZ Middle School.

Lt. Campbell thanked the public for the help police received in locating the suspect.

Campbell said evidence in the shooting will be forwarded to the District Attorney's Office for their review.

Nelson will face charges of violation of probation and parole for earlier incidents.  He was also wanted in Anchorage for a failure to appear in court charge.
