Muehlberger positively identified as victim in Port Protection blaze

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The State Medical Examiner has positively identified the human remains found in the residential fire in Port Protection as 75 year old Gary Muehlberger, who starred in National Geographic's television show Life Below Zero: Port Protection.

That's according to a dispatch posted by Alaska State Troopers on Thursday.

The residence was found fully engulfed in flame in the Southeast Alaska community on Prince of Wales Island on March 17.

The fire has been ruled as accidental.
