Meeting Will Determine Candidates for ADF&G Commissioner

    Anchorage, Alaska (KINY) - The board will not take public comment during the meeting.

    The Alaska Joint Board of Fisheries and Game is holding a meeting of the full joint board on Jan. 16, 2019, for the purpose of developing a list of qualified persons for the position of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game commissioner for consideration by the governor.

    The board will meet in-person at the Anchorage Sheraton Hotel, in the Howard Rock Ballroom, 401 E. 6th Avenue Anchorage, Alaska, beginning at 7 p.m. The board is expected to review applicant information and may choose to interview the applicant at the meeting.

    The board will not take public comment during the meeting. The listen-in only site is at the meeting room at the Sheraton Hotel. A live internet audio stream of this meeting will also be available from the board website at: http://www.adfg.alaska.gov/index.cfm?adfg=process.jointboard.

    Members from Board of Game intend to participate at the meeting in-person after traveling from a meeting in Petersburg. If weather conditions impede their travel plans, the board may delay the start of the meeting to later that evening or to another day. In the event the meeting is delayed to another day, the board will provide updates on the joint board website.
