Mayor on connections made at Southeast Conference

JUNEAU, Alaska (KINY) - Juneau Mayor Ken Koelsch was among the CBJ officials who attended the annual meeting of the Southeast Conference in Petersburg recently.

He  talked about the importance of the connections you can make during the meeting.

"It brings everybody together," Koelsch explained. "I think as much as it is a policy decision, it is a body where you get to meet people. I was able to spend some time with the mayors of Skagway and Haines, and we talked about getting together on a regular basis either by teleconference, in person in Juneau, or in those community. I think those connections are invaluable."

Koelsch also noted that this was his first time attending the Southeast Conference.
