Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Juneau Mayor Ken Koelsch is scheduled to leave office after results of the local election are certified Tuesday.
He delivered his swan song on Action Line Friday.
Koelsch was asked what advice he would offer in the incoming mayor and assembly. "To take each issue as it comes before you," he said.
Koelsch said there will be times they feel like a ping pong ball where you're bounced back and forth as people and issues hit them. "Just take it in stride. You'll live for another day and so will Juneau. People get so emotional about every single issue. We just need sometimes to just catch a breath, then look outside and take a look at the mountains and realize what a great community we're in."
