Matanuska sailings canceled due to mechanical issue

    Bellingham, WA (KINY) - All sailings of the Alaska Marine Highway System's Matanuska ferry are canceled until April 2.

    A message from AMHS says the cancellations are due to a mechanical issue. It's scheduled to sail again on April 2 from Bellingham.

    The Kennicott is adding port calls to Petersburg and Wrangell to accommodate Matanuska passengers. More information is available at
