Man rescued after fall near Ketchikan

    Ketchikan, Alaska (KINY) - A 61-year-old man was airlifted by the US Coast Guard to a Ketchikan hospital after a fall on Friday.

    Alaska State Troopers said crews from U.S. Coast Guard Station Ketchikan and local emergency responders combined efforts in the rescue near Pennock Island.

    A Coast Guard 45-foot Response Boat-Medium safely transported the man for treatment.
