Man opens fire in Kake, no one injured

Kake, Alaska (KINY) Alaska State Troopers are trying to figure out why a 43 year old Kake man suddenly started firing a rifle into the air Tuesday.

A dispatch from Troopers said Tyrone Paul discharged a .243 caliber rifle into the air several times in a residential neighborhood.  The report said Paul was standing on a sidewalk when he suddenly opened fire near other members of the public.

Troopers arrested Mr. Paul on four counts of third degree assault and two counts of misconduct involving a weapon.  He was transported to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center to await arraignment on the charges.
