Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Alaska State Troopers have arrested a Fairbanks man in connection with a trailer fire in North Pole that was reported just before noon last Friday, January 14.
Two people inside the trailer were able to escape. One was taken to a Fairbanks hospital to get checked out as a precaution.
The trailer was a total loss.
A Department of Public Safety deputy fire marshal investigated and determined the fire started in an arctic entry on the back of the trailer and that the cause was incendiary.
The Trooper dispatch says 30-year-old Travis Sieban, who was prohibited from being near the address, was seen fleeing the area on foot just after the fire was reported. He was located at a Fairbanks area hospital a short time later and arrested for violating probation and unlawful contact. He was jailed at the Fairbanks Correctional Center. The investigation is continuing and additional charges may be filed, according to the dispatch.
