Lone bill winning passage by Parish scheduled for signing ceremony

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The only piece of legislation sponsored by outgoing Juneau Representative Justin Parish that won passage in the 30th Alaska Legislature is scheduled to be signed into law Friday.

    House Bill 213 changes the way the state is investing an education trust fund which Parish said will return a few million dollars more a year to the funding of education.

    He said  on Action Line Monday that his bill modernizes the way a  fund consisting of about $700 Million is invested.

    Governor Walker is scheduled to sign the bill into the law during an educational conference in Fairbanks.
