Ketchikan Troopers make domestic violence, interfering arrest

    Ketchikan, Alaska (KINY) - Alaska State Troopers in Ketchikan have arrested a man after allegedly assaulted a family member.

    On Thursday at about 8:45, Troopers received a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence on Forest Park Drive. 

    An investigation revealed that Michael Guthrie, age 31 of Ketchikan, allegedly assaulted a family member. 

    Further investigation revealed the Guthrie prevented the person from calling 911 and reporting a DV crime. Guthrie was also found to be on current conditions of release set by the Ketchikan Courthouse for the original charge of Assault 4 DV.

    Guthrie was not to reside with the person and was not to consume alcohol, all in which he allegedly violated. 

    Guthrie was arrested for Assault in the 4th Degree DV, Interfering with a Report of a DV crime, and two counts of VCOR. Guthrie was remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with no bail.
