Ketchikan PD is Warning Residents of Break-ins

    Ketchikan, Alaska (KINY) - The suspects are targeting unlocked vehicles for garage door openers and removing screens to check for unsecured windows.

    The Ketchikan Police Department and Alaska State Troopers have received multiple reports of break-ins and attempted break-ins to residences, vehicles and garages.

    The suspects are targeting unlocked vehicles for garage door openers and removing screens to check for unsecured windows.

    For this reason, KPD is asking residents to secure their homes, garages and vehicles and turn on porch lights during the night. Officers also want you to report any suspicious persons and vehicles in your neighborhoods.
