Ketchikan ninth case of COVID-19 travel related

    Ketchikan, Alaska (KINY) - Three new cases of the coronavirus were reported on Tuesday bringing the total of cases to nine.

    The patient, upon experiencing symptoms, self-quarantined and sought testing through a local provider.

    Ketchikan Public Health has reached out to any person who may have come into contact with the individual so they can self-isolate.

    The Ketchikan local governments, the Borough Assembly, City Council, and Saxman City Council, have urged all residents to hunker down, shelter in place and stay home to help contain the spread of COVID-19.
