Kake, Alaska (KINY) - The City of Kake is implementing a two-week travel ban into and out of the city.
The City of Kake will be drafting up a notice to be posted at all Alaska Seaplanes terminals that there is a travel ban into and out of Kake for the next two weeks starting Monday.
According to Mayor Lloyd Davis, the city will also be developing a form for anyone who insists they meet the criteria for possible travel, under the state health mandate issued by the governor on Friday.
"We could be looking at least a month to two months, depending on how bad things start getting here in the next week to two weeks," said Lloyd.
The hunker down and shelter-in-place will remain in effect until further notice.
