Juneau's vaccination rate climbing, next clinic planned for April 9

Nearly half of Juneau's adult population has at least one COVID-19 vaccine.

That word from CBJ Manager Rorie Watt says they are approaching  12,000 which should be achieved by Monday I think we're going to be there pretty soon even by Monday.  He thinks they should be at 14,000 by Tuesday.

Watt figures the population consisting of those 16 years of age and older amounts to around 26,000 people.  "Right now we're at around 47 percent have at least one dose"  That number includes  77 percent of the senior citizen population.

The next vaccination clinic will be held April 5th through 8th and sign-ups begin Monday at noon

In addition, a school event is planned for April 9 and Watt figures several hundred students will participate.
