Juneau woman arrested on multiple charges

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - A routine traffic stop turned into a foot chase and an arrest of a wanted woman early Tuesday, Juneau Police said.

    Juneau Police said they attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of Mall Road.

    The female, a passenger in the vehicle, jumped out of the vehicle and ran.

    Kristi Willis, 34 was wanted on three outstanding Alaska State Trooper warrants.

    While being searched, police said they found possession of heroin and methamphetamine.

    Willis was charged with interfering with police, introduction of contraband in the first-degree, and misconduct involving a controlled substance in the fourth degree.

    The bond on the warrants was $10,500.
