Juneau now has 4 COVID-19 cases reported

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services today confirmed Juneau’s fourth case of COVID-19.

The City and Borough of Juneau is coordinating closely with DHSS. Officials with the state Division of Public Health will initiate a contact investigation and reach out to any person who may have come into contact with this individual.

Public Health will notify and isolate additional persons as appropriate. CBJ will update the public with information needed for community health and safety as CBJ learns of it.

If ill, do not only stay home but separate yourself from other people in your home; this is known as home isolation. As much as possible, you should stay away from others.

You should stay in a specific “sick room” if possible, and away from other people in your home. Use a separate bathroom, if available.

A total of 85 total cases were reported in the state as of Friday.
