Juneau Mountain Rescue assists Indiana man off Mt. Juneau

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - An Indiana man is safe and sound after sustaining falls on Mt. Juneau on Saturday.

    On Aug. 13, at about 6:30 p.m., Brian Klem, age 49 of Franklin, Indiana, reported that he had been hiking around Mount Juneau since noon and lost his way back.

    Klem reported he had fallen a few times, but he did not sustain any major injuries.

    At 10:23 p.m., six members from Juneau Mountain Rescue hiked up to his location and assisted him in getting back to the main trail. The group then hiked back down to the trailhead.

    At 10:40 p.m., Klem and the JMR members arrived safely back at the trailhead.
