Juneau man wins the Buckwheat ski classic

    Skagway, Alaska (KINY) - Finn Morley of Juneau won the 25 K race while several other Juneau skiers had strong performances.

    Morley finished the race in 1:30:36.

    Julius Adolfsson took fourth place in the 25 K.

    Ambrose Bucy took sixth, Aaron Blust seventh and Odin Brodie 15th place in the 25 K.

    Hank Lentfer finished 15th in the 50 K race.

    Aldyn Brodier finished seventh in the 25 K female division.

    Isaac Scholloser took sixth place, Jack Schwarting took eighth and Caden Mesdag finished in ninth place in the 10 K men's division.

    Annika Schwartz finished ninth in the 10 K for female and Beth Potter took second in the 10 K for females in the classic division.

    The Buckwheat Ski Classic is an annual cross country ski race held in March on the Log Cabin Ski Trails.

    It attracts skiers from Alaska and Canada.  This was the 34th running of the event.
