Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Juneau Police Department began an investigation into the possible sexual assault of a minor in March of 2019, after the parent of a 14-year-old-female reported that their daughter had a relationship with Christopher Isaiah Coulson. Coulson was 19 years old at that time.
"JPD Detectives investigated the report and learned that Coulson engaged in sexual intercourse with [the] girl, while knowing that she was 14-years-old," said JPD in a release. The case was referred to the District Attorney's office.
In April of 2021, a Juneau Grand Jury charged Coulson with second-degree sexual abuse of a minor, first-degree sexual assault, and two counts of third-degree assault. A $25,000 warrant was issued for Coulson's arrest and on April 23 he was arrested in Juneau by Alaska State Troopers. Coulson was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
