Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Juneau is among the locations for the Arctic Edge military exercise involving U. S. and Canadian forces from British Columbia to the Arctic.

In Juneau, there's a Navy diving exercise involving remotely operated vehicles and divers as they employ mine countermeasures between the Juneau Douglas Bridge and Savikko Park.

The Coast Guard has established a temporary security zone in those waters.

The Arctic Edge exercise is scheduled to continue through March 17.

The exercise is held every two years to improve Arctic warfighting capability.
