Juneau doctor perishes in diving accident in Florida

    ISLAMORADA, FLA. (WSVN and KINY) - A tourist from Juneau died after a diving incident that took place in Islamorada, Florida.

    According to a report from WSVN TV  in Miami, 57-year-old Kimberly Jean Kilgore died Friday morning, after surfacing from a dive.

    She was with a group of divers at the  Islamorada Dive Center. Kilgore was in about 40 feet of water in the Runway Reef area.  She reportedly had an issue in the water and lost consciousness on the surface.

    Kilgore was taken to Mariners Hospital, where she later died.

    No foul play was suspected.

    Kilgore was a medical doctor who worked at Rainforest Pediatric Care in Juneau.
