Juneau COVID-19 clinic to proceed as scheduled with delivery of vaccine

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The City and Borough of Juneau will have a sufficient amount of the COVID-19 vaccine to proceed with its clinic January 15 through the 17 at Centennial Hall.

That was the word from Robert Barr of the Juneau Emergency Operations Center during the KINY Morning Show with Dano.  "We're planning about 11-hundred doses of the Pfizer vaccine at that clinic."  He explained the vaccine will be for health care workers and everyone 65 and older.

Barr says they plan to have direct links to appointments on the CBJ website at juneau.org/vaccine as of Noon Monday.

Barr advises that 11-hundred vaccines will not be a large enough number to accommodate all who sign up.  That's why they are already planning for a second clinic once they hear about more vaccine making their way to Juneau.
