Juneau Chamber supportive of mask mandate

Juneau Chamber of Commerce supportive of the wearing of masks

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Juneau Chamber of Commerce was in support of the Assembly's decision to mandate the wearing of masks in public places to safeguard residents from the COVID 19 virus.

Executive Director Craig Dahl talked about that on Action Line.  "I think it was very important.  We've been supportive of the masks all the way along.  We want to see our businesses stay open.  He adds that between the masks and social distancing its something Juneau residents can do as individuals and as a community to protect ourselves.

The chamber is doing its bit in support as President-elect Eric Forst pointed out.  He said they have worked with the City and Borough of Juneau  to come up with posters encouraging mask wearing.  "We have posters that are available to any business, not just chamber businesses, but any business to promote wearing your masks."

He said the posters are 11 by 17 inches in size.  They are available by calling the chamber at 463-3488 or send an email to infojuneauchamber.com
