Juneau Chamber doubling gift card amount for those getting vaccines

Juneau Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Craig Dahl

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Juneau Chamber of Commerce has upped the ante in its Healthy Juneau Initiative.

The local chamber received part of a million-dollar state grant that went to the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce

Executive Director Craig Dahl talked about that on Action Line.  "We're doubling the benefit.  We're giving away $40 worth of gift cards for each person that gets a shot and we're actually giving it away for both the first shot and the second shot."

In addition, he says everyone who goes to one of the CBJ pop-up clinics will have their name put in for a drawing for five $1,000 cash prizes.

The $45,000 in funding for the program came from a million-dollar vaccine incentive grant program from the state that went to the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce which in turn spread the funding to local chambers around the state.
