Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - National Weather Service Juneau gave the details.

Following the blizzard that hit Juneau Wednesday, Grant Smith, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service discussed how two weather records were broken on the same day,

"So we set a new record snowfall of 10.5 inches over the 24-hour period. The old record was 6.1 set back in 1986. Then we also set the amount of moisture so all that snow melted down. How much precipitation did we get? .90 which broke the old record of .73 set back in 2003. So one day, two records."
