JPD responds to a single vehicle crash and a suspected drunk driver in separate incidents

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - A single vehicle accident sent a Juneau resident to the hospital just before 5:30 Thursday afternoon.

Juneau Police say a medical issue caused the driver of a 2012 Dodge Ram to strike three construction barriers, a fiberglass box, and an electrical junction box.

About 10 thousand dollars in property damage was reported in the 37 hundred block of El Camino Street.

Capital city fire rescue took the driver to Bartlett Hospital for evaluation.

Later that evening a 35-year-old man was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 81-hundred block of Glacier Highway.

There was also a $50 JPD warrant out for Dustin Burham Endicott for failure to appear for arraignment on the original charge of theft of services.

He was jailed at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and his vehicle was impounded.
