JPD investigates report of shots fired

    Juneau, Alaska, (KINY) No one was hurt after the accidental discharge of a firearm.

    A report from Juneau Police said officers responded to the report of a disturbance in the 5800 block of Glacier Highway and learned a 69 year old man had accidentally fired a weapon inside his residence.  
     
    The report said the round went through the wall of the home in the direction of five children who were playing outside.  There was no report of injury. Police said no charges were immediately filed.
     
    The report said charges of weapons misconduct and reckless endangerment will be presented to the City's Attorney's Office for them to consider prosecution.
