JPD Arrest Woman on DUI in McNugget Intersection Accident

    Juneau, AK (KINY) - Juneau Police have released further details about the recent crash at the McNugget Intersection.

    Three vehicles had been in the inbound lane of Egan Drive, waiting at the red light at the intersection. A fourth vehicle, a grey 2011 Toyota Tundra that was being driven by a 40-year-old Juneau resident failed to stop and rear-ended one of the stopped vehicles. This then pushed that vehicle into the other two ahead of it.

    There was only one injury reported and the patient was evaluated to the hospital for evaluation. Combined damages to the four vehicles were valued at $16,000 and traffic was closed in the inbound lane for about an hour during the investigation.

    The driver of the Tundra, Eliseth Harman, had been driving under the influence. She was arrested for DUI and Assault in the 3rd Degree. She was later discovered to have a breath alcohol concentration of 0.193% and was taken to jail without bail.
