Interim Director appointed for Ted Stevens Airport

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Craig Campbell has accepted an appointment to serve as the Ted Stevens International Airport Interim Airport Manager until a permanent replacement can be named.

    Campbell comes to the position with aviation and aerospace experience, with over 35 years in the United States Air Force and Alaska Air National Guard.

    He served as the Alaska Aerospace Corporation’s President and Chief Executive Officer from 2012 to 2018.

    Additionally, he has over 15 years of aviation consulting experience including serving as project manager for numerous projects throughout Alaska’s aviation system, and managing projects at the Anchorage and Fairbanks airports.

    “I am pleased to have Craig step into this role,” said John Binder, DOT&PF Deputy Commissioner for Aviation. He continued, “Mr. Campbell has extensive aviation and aerospace management experience, and will provide ANC a steady hand until a permanent Airport Manager can be selected.”

    The position has been vacant since the previous airport manager left in February 2022.
