Hoonah hiring police officers

Hoonah, Alaska (KINY) - There is an immediate opening for a police officer position.

Applications can be picked up at City Hall or the Department of Public Safety between 8 am and 4 pm from Monday through Friday.

Applications are also available at www.cityofhoonah.org

Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalency.  The applicant must also possess a current Alaska Driver's License upon being hired.

The applicant will also go through several tests that could include psychological, a drug test, a written test, oral board, individual interview, and significant criminal background, character and credit checks.
