Holland America cancels 5 cruises to Alaska in 2020

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Holland America Line has made the decision to delay the start of the Alaska, Europe, and Canada and New England cruise seasons through June 30.

In addition, HAL has also made the decision to cancel all 2020 Alaska cruises on the following ships: Maasdam, Volendam, Oosterdam, Noordam, and Westerdam. 

All 2020 Land+Sea Journeys are also cancelled.

Guests already booked have two forms of compensation to choose from. That information can be found on the HAL website.

  Anchorage, Alaska (KINY) - Anchorage Superior Court Judge Andrew Peterson sentenced 21-year-old Luimariamofoa Polu to serve 27 years in jail for the murder of 15-year-old Raynaldo Khotesouvan on July 20, 2018, in Anchorage. Polu, who was 16-years-old at the time of the murder, was charged as an adult for the crime pursuant to Alaska Statute 47.12.030. Polu previously admitted the facts contained in the charging document.
