Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Holiday Pops brings together singers and musicians for a festive celebration of the season.
The Juneau Arts & Humanities Council has announced its 2018 edition of the annual holiday event, Holiday Pops.
Holiday Pops brings together singers and musicians for a festive celebration of the season. The program showcases a broad spectrum of musical talents among Juneau residents, and joins both veteran and new singers in a 75-voice chorus which features your holiday and winter favorites.
In addition to the chorus, the program will feature the Capital Brass and Glacier Valley JAMM students in two special concerts. The event will also include
guest appearances by Stevi Spinka on flute, Meghan Johnson on cello and Viviana Flores, who will perform a very special vocal solo.
This year’s performances will be on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Egan Library at the University of Alaska Southeast, and on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 4 p.m. in the Main Hall at the JACC.
As an added treat, the Capital Brass will play for a half hour before each concert.
Holiday Pops tickets are available at the JACC box office, online at www.jahc.org, and by calling 586-ARTS.
