Hit and run driver indicted by Juneau Grand Jury

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The suspect accused in the hit and run of a pedestrian in the Foodland Parking Lot last week has been indicted by the Juneau Grand Jury.

    An email distributed by the Alaska Court System says 36-year-old Randal Benc was indicted on the charges of assault in the first and second degrees.

    Benc was arrested last Friday morning by a patrol sergeant and taken to jail.

    The 26-year-old man hit by the truck sustained serious injuries and was medevaced to the Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
