Juneau, AK (KINY) - The National Weather Service in Juneau has put out a warning for high winds that will start at 4am on Thursday to 6pm that evening.
Areas that the warning is in effect for include downtown Juneau and Douglas with wind gusts up to 60mph. They will be increasing in strength through the morning and then peter out throughout the evening. The National Weather service are saying that loose objects will be blown around, which could result in damages, and that there is a power outage possible.
Those in the affected areas should take precautions to minimize damages from objects by bringing them indoors or properly securing them.
