High hopes remain for vaccine to COVID-19

    WASHINGTON, DC (ABC) - Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar said he is very optimistic about a vaccine being developed to combat the Coronavirus later this year.

    President Donald Trump has termed the search for a coronavirus vaccine, "Operation Warp Speed."

    Drugmaker Moderna has created a fast-tracked test of potential treatments.

    Pfizer has also launched a phase three in their development of a vaccine.

    Azar said there could be tens of millions of doses of FDA-authorized or approved vaccines by the end of the year.
