HBO docuseries debuts with Glacier Bay NP as a backdrop

Edge of the Earth premiered Juy 12 on HBO and HBO Max.

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - A four-part docuseries on HBO and HBO Max featured Glacier Bay National Park last week.

The show, Edge of the Earth, premiered July 12 on the cable networks.

Snowboarder Jeremy Jones led a team to Southeast Alaska to make the first recorded descent of Mount Bertha in the park in the debut episode.

The docuseries showcases four groups of athletes embarking on four never-before-accomplished missions.

  Juneau, Alaska (AP) - The Biden administration issued a long-awaited study Wednesday that recommends allowing a major oil development on Alaska's North Slope, and the move-while not final- drew immediate anger from environmentalists who saw it as a betrayal of the president's pledges to reduce carbon emissions and promote clean energy sources.
