Update: Street value of drugs in Iler case is $27K

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Juneau Police said Patrick Hal Iler faces charges of misconduct involving weapons and misconduct involving controlled substances.

    The controlled substances that were seized from Iler were weighed and identified as 22.8 grams of heroin, 167.2 grams of methamphetamine and 33.8 grams of cocaine. The drugs have a combined estimated street value of about $27,000.

    Police allege Iler was in possession of a handgun while he was spotted shoplifting on February 27 in a store in the 9000-block of Glacier Highway.

    Police also allege Iler was stopped in a vehicle stop on Industrial Boulevard on February 29. Police seized the vehicle and later searched it.  During the search, they located a handgun with a suppressor, drug paraphernalia and a digital scale.

    Police located Iler early this morning on 2nd Street and said when they searched him, they located the methamphetamine.

    Iler was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional to await a court appearance. He was held without bail.
