Gregory announces candidacy for mayor of Juneau

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) Business is picking up at city hall when it comes to the job of Mayor.

    Ken Koelsch announced this morning he would not seek re-election.  Soon afterward, first term Assembly member Beth Weldon announced she was a candidate for the job.  Now joining the fray is first term assembly member Norton Gregory.

    Gregory is a graduate of the University of Alaska Southeast.  He works as Housing Services Manager for the Tlingit-Haida Regional Housing Authority.

    His prior community service include Board member for the Douglas Island Neighborhood Association, the Board of Directors for AWARE, Aiding Women in Abuse and Rape Emergencies, and a board member for the Juneau Affordable Housing Commission.
